Asuntos del Sur was founded with solid values such as diversity, inclusion and participation that guided us over 15 years of work. We have been activists in the defense of democracy promoting political innovation in 22 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, collecting the disruption and creativity of those who are on the margins; promoting them to become  relevant actors in decision-making spaces.

Today, the same pillars are taking us to the next step expanding our horizon of work. We are happy to announce the birth of ADS Global, with the conviction of scaling the impact that we have generated in our region towards the Global South.

ADS Global will be led by Matías Bianchi, who leaves the executive direction of Asuntos del Sur to take this amazing challenge. His experience, knowledge and commitment will undoubtedly open new paths in other continents by scaling the programs and projects of Asuntos del Sur.

We are excited to announce that Fiorella Wernicke has assumed the Executive Directorship of Asuntos del Sur. She is an outstanding professional who has been working in the organization since the beginning, whom we will accompany in the transition and the new projects that are coming.

Fiorella has a degree in International Relations (USAL) and a specialist in International Cooperation (UNSAM). She joined the organization as a volunteer, then coordinated important international projects such as “Open Government” with a Gender Perspective and the consortia of Latin American organizations such as ImpactaLatam and “CILA Ciudades en Acción”. Her last role was director of Institutional Relations, from where she contributed innumerable strategic alliances that enhanced the impact of Asuntos del Sur. She is also a teacher and researcher at the National University of Avellaneda.

We are excited about the challenges that are coming. We are sure that Matías and Fiorella, two professionals with proven track records, will lead both organizations successfully. We wish them the best of success, convinced that both are part of the same dream that grows, expands and transcends people.
